The Path Through Suffering: A Journey to Liberation

The more you suffer, the more you will either resist or embrace love. There is no in-between. The more you feel pain, the more you will fall into ignorance, or want to heal.

Every time suffering comes—whether it’s ego, trauma, anxiety, or all the endless problems of life—those moments of suffering are often the only opportunities we have to truly have some kind of inner growth. When we suffer, we have the opportunity to see it for what it is by paying conscious attention to it. It’s the only time we get the opportunity to change it, heal it, and overcome it. But instead, we do not pay attention to it, we ignore it, we go to sleep, and the next morning we forget about the suffering from yesterday. The cycle repeats. We live our day as if we are asleep—unaware of what is within us. Totally unaware of the negative emotions and egos that we carry inside, which are only waiting to manifest again as a result of unconscious habit.

If only in those times of suffering, we could remember to take some moments of silence, to take a bit of time to reflect, then we could easily make some space inside to heal and give attention to it. If we truly practice this, we will quickly realize there is usually no space for true awakening. We don’t enjoy those quiet moments, because honestly we don’t have the time or the mental space. When we do have that rare time to pause, it’s the moment we realize we’re not awake to our own Being. We realize that we are asleep!

We have to make time for our Being. We have to have the courage to let go of what holds us back and give ourselves the power to heal, to overcome, and to truly awaken.

Why are we so asleep? The answer is simple: we are lazy. Not physically lazy, but spiritually lazy. Spiritual laziness is far more detrimental than physical laziness. If you’re physically lazy, it might be bad for your body, but spiritual laziness harms your soul. It’s the lack of care, attention, and commitment to your own spiritual growth. If you fail to grow spiritually in this life, what does that mean for the next?

How about the state of your soul? Have you reflected on that? Many of us believe as long as we look physically okay, then we are okay. But if we were able to look at our soul’s true appearance, what would it look like? Would it be dark, or light? Do you even believe you have a soul? Are you one-hundred percent sure you won’t come back as a pig in your next life? Are you sure you won’t be thrown into the animal kingdom? Are you even worthy of being an animal? That might be a laughing matter for some people, but I’m being completely serious, or maybe you react to these statements, but the fact that it sparks something inside you is reason to take this seriously. These matters should be basic spiritual knowledge that we should come to know. Have you considered the consequences of neglecting your spiritual development? Are you sure that even if you awaken now, you won’t fall into a state of degeneration—perhaps in this life or the next? Have you considered whether you are evolving or devolving? How has the past year been for you? Has it been increasingly miserable, or increasingly peaceful?

We have to learn to take this seriously. We are witnessing the degeneration of our generation, and now more than ever, we need to make a deliberate choice to change, to evolve. Change begins now—change for your soul, for your family, for the world. The moment you choose to change, you not only transform your life but also make it easier for others around you.

We never fully understand the real meaning of suffering. If we did, we wouldn’t be in this endless cycle of pain. I’m writing this because I too am still learning—still suffering, still awakening.

Jesus Himself suffered. We know this. But why did He suffer? Many people claim to understand the depth of His suffering, but do they truly understand it? In my view, Jesus suffered because He chose to carry the cross for humanity. He sacrificed Himself out of love, and this love was not just for His followers, but for the entire world. Love is sacrifice.

We too choose our suffering every day. We choose to suffer for today, for tomorrow, and even for years. But here’s the real question: Is our suffering meaningful? Is it helping anyone? Is it a suffering like Christ’s—suffering that serves a higher purpose? Or is it just ego-based suffering? Ego-based suffering is simply just a result of our selfish desires not being met. The problem is, we rarely understand the causes of our suffering.

In this sense, there is positive suffering and negative suffering. Jesus’ suffering was a positive suffering, one that served humanity and made a lasting impact, which even continues to live on in us today.

So, is your suffering meaningful? Is it leading you toward spiritual growth? Is it helping you shed the layers of ego and illusion? Or is it useless suffering, full of self-pity or guilt? I, for example, am currently suffering from my own ego. Yet, I am also grateful for it because I know that this suffering is an opportunity for growth. I’m learning to confront it and eventually overcome it. I am learning not to judge it or indulge in it.

If you are suffering right now, look at it from a positive perspective. Be patient with yourself. See the greater picture. See the lesson in the pain. View it as a gift from God—a call to awaken.

“The darkness can either keep us in the dark, or form us into who we are truly meant to be.”

You are a rose. Yes, you may have thorns (ego), but you are still beautiful in your Essence. Your true being remains unchanged. See your suffering in this way: as an opportunity for liberation. An opportunity to bloom the fragrance of Being. The rose cannot grow without the soil of suffering. Embrace it as part of your spiritual journey, not as something to be feared.

Let your way through suffering be the path to awakening. But this is not suffering in the sense that humanity understands it. It is called conscious suffering, which is full of beauty and wisdom. In this way, suffering transforms from something negative into something sacred. It becomes your teacher, your guide, and your pathway to spiritual growth.

To embrace suffering in this way, it is essential to reflect deeply and create space for what you are feeling. Meditation becomes a sacred refuge—not to escape or suppress the pain, but to allow yourself to fully experience it with awareness. It offers a pause from the relentless cycle of overthinking, providing an opportunity to observe what your Being reveals to you.

Why am I experiencing this suffering? What lessons does it hold? How does it shape me? How do I truly feel? Am I ready to face it? Can I comprehend it? These are profound questions that naturally arise when we confront darkness. Suffering often brings sadness, anger, or deep pain, and it can feel impossible to find light amidst such turmoil. Yet the first step is simple but courageous—be fully present with the suffering, that’s all!

Sit with it. Feel it. You are already in the darkness, so let meditation be the lamp that illuminates your path. If you know how to meditate, you understand how it relaxes the mind and grants clarity. In that stillness, your Being offers wisdom, gently guiding you to see the truth hidden within your pain. It teaches that the time to confront suffering is always now. As you cultivate this understanding, wisdom arises little by little, like the dawn after a long night. Enlightenment unfolds naturally when you begin to believe in your higher nature.

Acknowledging the ego and facing suffering is no small task. It takes infinite endurance to witness the pain without falling into the temptation of self-soothing with vices. It also requires tremendous courage to walk through that darkness and recognize it for what it is. Yet in that brave act, there is something divine within you, some higher force that enables love and understanding to take place. It is the part of your Being that is your inner Divine Mother—the sacred force of Kundalini. When we suffer, it often feels as if no one is there for us. We are trapped in selfish thoughts, clouded by ego. But the truth is that our Divine Mother Kundalini has never abandoned us. She waits patiently within, always ready to help us dissolve our ego and transcend suffering.

This is not an instant process. The dissolution of the ego is gradual, but every step forward counts. Be gentle with yourself, knowing that your Divine Mother is always supporting you in love. In your moments of pain, remember that what we truly seek is the presence of someone who understands and accompanies us through our suffering.

So never forget: the Divine Mother Kundalini is always within you, loving you deeply. If you are suffering right now, I encourage you to be courageous—for yourself, for your Divine Mother, and for those you love. Rise, open your eyes, and witness the infinite love of God. Remember your true nature: “I am a child of God. I am the Being.”

This is your chance. Your time to awaken, to heal, and to love more deeply than ever before…

Wow. This is so very well written. After reading this I think I can get reoriented onto my path.

Thanks for reviewing the lesson on suffering. I feel like I can get back on track by applying the lesson of positive suffering- suffering for a higher purpose. I need to better choose my type of suffering, and try to identify and avoid egoic suffering and self pity. The main way I know how to engage in conscious suffering would be through a workout, so maybe I will try to apply some of these thought processes to a daily workout routine.

The description of meditation here is awesome. And the quote “The rose cannot grow without the soil of suffering” is so beautifully said. I once said to myself that suffering is the traction for growth. Here it says that it is an opportunity for growth and clarifies the difference between egoic suffering and conscious suffering, and I now understand more clearly that suffering is an opportunity that needs to be siezed- it doesn’t just inherently cause growth, you have to actively confront with it with full awareness and see what it is trying to tell you. And that conscious suffering brings us back to love and wisdom. And love enriches our lives the most, and through this love and wisdom we become forgiving and compassionate.

And the part about our inner divine mother kundalini; it’s so true that we seek someone who is understanding of our suffering. I look forward to being in touch with my own inner divine mother again, hopefully soon.

Thanks. I look forward to reading more from this blog! 🙏🏽

hi dearest Alea. I have been going through a tribulation. I have always have the capacity to over see the wrong done to me.

but for some rare reason it has been quite difficult this time. I’m just really angry ny ego is so intense or my hunger of justice. I haven’t figured that out yet.

with all this been said. Someone that recognize my suffering hug me. His dad just pass away and he felt bad for me and I’m guessing he already was so emotional devastated.

so when I hug him, in that very moment I saw my self my perimeter of my body was on fire, my inside/middle was water. And I saw his back with a big kind of injury, when my hands touch him they start to heal.

in that moment my anger went away and thought this is who I choose to be.

a healer. That night I ask in meditation to be granted with love to be able to heal.

thank you, I know the universe brought me to this feet and I know I have ask for Jesus Christ knowledge. All blessings find the way to you always.
